Dear Families,
This afternoon at 2:00 PM, our school conducted a lockdown drill as part of our ongoing efforts to ensure student safety.
During the drill, staff and students practiced the βLock, Lights, Out of Sightβ procedures, which include locking doors, turning off lights, and moving out of view. Everyone did a great job following directions calmly and quickly.
We practice these safety procedures so that in the unlikely event of an emergency, students and staff are prepared and know what to do.
If you have any questions about todayβs drill or our safety protocols, please donβt hesitate to reach out to your building principal.
Thank you for your continued support in keeping our school a safe place to learn and grow.
Happy Administrative Professionals Day! π
Today weβre celebrating two of Crete Elementaryβs unsung heroes β Mrs. Lupe Avelar and Mrs. Mayra Vazquez Luna!
These incredible women are the heart of our front office. Whether they're answering phones, translating with their bilingual superpowers, helping families, comforting students, or jumping in to help with whatever the day throws their way β they do it all with grace, kindness, and a smile.
Thank you, Mrs. Avelar and Mrs. Vazquez Luna, for keeping things running smoothly and making Crete Elementary feel like home. Weβre so lucky to have you! β€οΈ
