Crete Intermediate School Families: On Monday, April 28th, we will be practicing an evacuation drill. The entire intermediate school will participate in the drill. An evacuation is used when there is a situation inside the school, such as a fire, gas leak, etc. An evacuation means that all staff and students will be off campus (Doane College Field House) for an extended period of time. Our staff has spoken to the students about this drill. In the actual event of needing to evacuate, additional details would be provided regarding reunification. The event will begin at 8:30 a.m. and will conclude by 10:30 a.m. If you have any questions regarding this drill, please contact your building principal. Ms. Cole

As of March 14, 2025, we have used four full snow/weather days. Because students receive three β€œfree” snow days, they now need to make up one instructional day. Please note that if the district must close school on additional dates, our plan may need to be revised. After exploring multiple options to ensure the best student learning experience, we are converting a scheduled β€œno-school” day into an instructional day rather than adding all missed days at the end of May. This approach will help us maintain meaningful instructional time and engagement. Our seniors’ last day will also be adjusted to meet the instructional hours set by the Nebraska Department of Education. Student Make-Up Day- April 22, 2025β€”Previously a no-school day, it is now a regular school day for all students and staff. Thank you for your understanding as we strive to provide our students with the highest-quality education. Please contact your student’s building principal or the district office if you have any questions.

Due to the inclement weather, there will be no school for all students on Wednesday, March 5, 2025. Wind gusts of 50+ miles per hour will continue through tomorrow morning, creating unsafe conditions for our buses and our young drivers. Please be safe, stay warm, and Go Cards!
