Dawn Draeger began her counseling career at the start of the 2017-2018 school year. Previously she taught science for twenty-one years. Mrs. Draeger taught at Omaha North High School for four years and has been working with Crete Public Schools since 2000. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Doane along with a Middle School Math and Natural Science Teaching Certificate. Continuing her education, Dawn obtained her Masters in Curriculum and Instruction in 2000 and completed her Master’s in Educational Leadership and Administration in 2005. Most recently she completed her Masters in School Counseling degree from Doane in 2019. Currently, at Crete High School she is involved with Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Circle of Friends, Assistant Coach for Unified track and serves as the Senior class sponsor. Dawn and her Golden Retriever, Harley are members of the Healing Hearts Therapy Dog group. Harley attends school a few days each week assisting with the students. Dawn lives in Crete with her husband and her children. In her spare time, Dawn enjoys spending time with her family, enjoying the outdoors, horseback riding, hanging out with her grandson, attending sporting events, boating, camping and exercising.
